It's a term which doesn't go down well with historians and it certainly shouldn't be used in any derogatory sense, but I think it does sum up the mysterious nature of the era really well. If someone said 'early Christian period' to me, I would assume they were talking about the time before the conversion of Constantine in AD312 - not the Dark Ages!Anna Chanthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12321321131370386845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4044457453847267877.post-70704247626844737452018-11-05T14:53:29.888+00:002018-11-05T14:53:29.888+00:00Thank you for reading! What is wrong with the Dark Ages? We all know what era we are talking about when we day Dark Ages. I heard one archeologist say, I won't say his name, say it was the Early Christian period. I don't know what he meant by that as Christianity had been around for a long time by then, unless he meant that in context with British history, which still doesn't make much sense to me. We could call it the end of the Druid period, I guess. Or, the Romanless period. Ridiculous. There is nothing wrong with calling it the Dark Ages.
