Meet The Team

The Coffee Pot Book Club (formally Myths, Legends, Books, and Coffee Pots) was founded in 2015. Our goal was to create a platform that would help Historical Fiction, Historical Romance and Historical Fantasy authors promote their books and find that sometimes elusive audience. The Coffee Pot Book Club soon became the place for readers to meet new authors (both traditionally published and independently) and discover their fabulous books.

The Coffee Pot Book Club (formally Myths, Legends, Books, and Coffee Pots) was founded in 2015 by bestselling author, Mary Anne Yarde. Later, her daughter, Ellie, joined her.

Mary Anne’s goal was to create a platform that would help Historical Fiction, Historical Romance and Historical Fantasy authors promote their books and find that sometimes elusive audience.

The Coffee Pot Book Club soon became the place for readers to meet new authors (both traditionally published and independently) and discover their fabulous books.

In July 2022, Mary Anne and Ellie Yarde handed over the keys to The Coffee Pot Book Club to award-winning author, Cathie Dunn, who has many years’ experience as a book reviewer, author, and editor.

Cathie Dunn

Cathie Dunn is a writer of award-winning, Amazon-bestselling historical fiction, mystery, and romance.

Ever since she learned to read, she has enjoyed losing herself in books and stories. For several years, she reviewed novels for the Historical Novel Society in the UK, and she has been an active reviewer for a number of blog tour providers on both sides of the Atlantic. She loves reading a wide range of books, but her favourite genres continue to be historical fiction (including various sub-genres) and romantic women’s fiction.

In her spare time, she loves exploring historic sites and uncovering hidden (hi)stories.

Cathie is a member of the Historical Novel Society and the Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi).

Mary Anne Yarde

Mary Anne Yarde is a multi-award winning and bestselling author of Historical Fiction, as well as an award-winning blogger. She studied History at Cardiff University and went on to study Equine Science at Warwickshire College.

Mary Anne is a passionate advocate for quality Historical Fiction and became a professional Editorial Reviewer in 2016. She has worked closely with publishing houses, and authors (both traditionally and independently published) to successfully market their books.

When Mary Anne is not promoting books, she tutors History from Year 5 to Year 10. She is also a member of The Historical Novel Society.

Ellie Yarde

Ellie Yarde is the social media and blog tour coordinator for The Coffee Pot Book Club. She works closely with blog hosts to make sure your blog tour not only stops on relevant and popular blogs but that it also gets the social media coverage that your book deserves. Ellie is also an active member of the #Bookstagram and Twitter community.

Ellie has reviewed for both the big and small publishing houses and she particularly enjoys finding hidden gems in the indie author community. She became an editorial reviewer for The Coffee Pot Book Club in 2020.

When Ellie isn’t promoting books, she can be found exploring historical sites along with her energetic dogs.
