DeleteAn Adventurer's Contract can be read as a standalone, like all the books in the Gentlemen Series, so you don't really need to read book one first.
I have your book on my to-read list already. I think I have around ten more books to go before I get to yours, but I am really looking forward to reading it.

DeletePenny Hampson is the go-to author for historical romance. I am currently reading this book and it is absolutely brilliant - although there is more adventure than romance, but that just makes the story all the more appealing.
