The Land fo King Arthur ~ King Arthur's Bed #Arthurian #myths #Cornwall

"...A grave for March, a grave for Gwythur,
A grave for Gwgawn of the ruddy Sword,
No wise the thought a grave for Arthur..."

Le Morte D'Arthur by Sir Thomas Malory

Nestled along a ridge of rocky outcrops on the beautiful Bodmin Moor lies King Arthur's bed.

King Arthur's Bed

It is said that this bed was hollowed out especially for Arthur, although whether it was his bed or his coffin is up for debate.

Cornwall has a long association with Arthurian legends, so it seems only fitting that Arthur had a tomb made there. Arthur's Bed is very close to Trewortha Tor and Hawk's Tor, both of which are worth checking out if you ever find yourself in the area!
