was all of 6 years old when Robin of Sherwood first aired on British
Television. I can remember sitting down with my siblings on a sleepy Saturday
evening to watch the show on a small portable television which had a somewhat
opening credits rolled with what was to become one of the most memorable
anthems of my childhood.

was lucky to live (and still do) very close to some of the locations where Robin of Sherwood
was filmed and probably best of all for a starry-eyed child my mum worked as a
secretary for John Abineri (Hern the Hunter) for a while.
I was even lucky enough to meet the cast at a charity football match.

There is no doubt that Robin of Sherwood influenced my life and it was certainly a huge part of my childhood, and my children have also throughly enjoyed the series.
So, here we are thirty-five
years later and I think it is safe to say that Robin of Sherwood has stood the
test of time. There is something almost timeless about the series and it still
appeals to a very wide audience.
